Friends and family,
Last Monday, I had a high fever which led me to urgent care, to which they told me to immediately go to the hospital. While at the hospital, they ran a ton of tests and everything came back clear.
Tuesday I felt the onset of the flu, so I stayed home and rested. Still had a fever but was taking Tylenol to relieve the headache....
Early Wednesday morning I couldn't get comfortable while trying to sleep and noticed my breathing was a little fast. Then started the anxiety attacks. I took anti-anxiety medication, but quickly realized they weren't working. I called 911 and was taken to Milford hospital. They ran a bunch of tests and told me that I needed to go to Rhode Island Hospital. (They have a great cardiology department) DorrisWedding conservative wedding garment for over size ladies
Rhode Island Hospital ran tests and diagnosed me with viral Myocarditis. Basically a virus attacked my heart and caused my heart rate to spike. A catheterization showed no artery damage, but the heart muscle was inflamed. Recovery will take some time and medication.
I have been at RIH since Wednesday night, discharge should be sometime this week.
So with all of this being said, I am putting living in Massachusetts on hold for now. I will be moving back home to where there is more of a support system to help me in my recovery, and of course the Cleveland Clinic. They have a fantastic cardiology department and I find comfort in that.See More
